Michael J. Kutryb, M.D. is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the St. Louis
University where he received a University Academic Scholarship 4 years
in a row, and was elected into the Phi Beta Kappa Honorary Society. He
finished the University of Missouri School of Medicine with Honors,
receiving the Medicine Curator's Scholarship and the Medical School
Foundation Scholarship. As a medical student, Dr. Kutryb also received a
research fellowship to perform research in the field of macular
degeneration at the Mason Institute of Ophthalmology, with Dr. Martin
Katz, Ph.D., resulting in several publications. For his work, Dr. Kutryb
received the 1991 John Aure Busseler Award for Excellence in
Ophthalmology from the University of Missouri. Dr. Kutryb completed his
one-year internship in Internal Medicine and a three year residency in
Ophthalmology at the prestigious Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans and now
specializes in Laser Vision Correction and Micro-Incision Cataract and
Implant Surgery. He has trained with several well-known refractive
surgery experts including Dr. David Johnson of Brandon, Florida, and has
himself performed over 2000 eye surgeries including over 1000 refractive
procedures including Intraocular Lens Implantation, Photorefractive
Keratectomy (PRK), and Laser Assisted In-Situ Keratomileusis (LASIK).
Dr. Kutryb is a fellow of the American Board of Ophthalmology, the
American Academy of Ophthalmology, and is a member of the American
Medical Association.
