Shannon M. Wong, MD practices General Ophthalmology and specializes in LASIK and other refractive surgical procedures at the Austin Eye Clinic. He practices ophthalmology with his father Mitchel Wong, MD.

“My practice philosophy is to maintain the highest standards of care for the patients that I treat. Therefore, I personally perform all the preoperative and postoperative examinations for patients that choose me as their LASIK surgeon. I do not comanage LASIK or other surgical patients with optometrists because I do not believe that it provides the best level of care. Additionally, I am committed to utilizing the most advanced technology available for LASIK,” Dr. Wong says.

Dr. Wong has been performing LASIK since 1997. Since that time he has performed thousands of LASIK procedures. He currently performs LASIK using the LADARVision laser manufactured by Alcon Summit Autonomous. Because of his extensive LASIK experience, he is knowledgeable in the prevention and management of LASIK complications.
