Debra Tennen, M.D., Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA, has a private practice in Agoura Hills and is affiliated with the West Hills Regional Medical Center, The Motion Picture Hospital and Northridge Medical Center. She has been performing refractive surgery since 1993 and, as Medical Director for the UCLA Laser Refractive Center in Agoura Hills, has treated over 1200 patients.

Dr. Tennen received an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Irvine and a medical degree with distinction from New York Medical College. She completed an ophthalmology residency at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center of New York and then completed a post-doctoral fellowship in corneal and refractive surgery at the University of California, Irvine's Beckman Laser Institute, where she was awarded the Resident's Teaching Award from the Department of Ophthalmology.

A refractive surgery specialist, Dr. Tennen is frequently invited to lecture on the topic of refractive surgery, especially LASIK and photorefractive keratectomy, and is the author of many research articles on refractive surgery.
