I am 55. I had lasik on both eyes in 1999. The procedure p
rovided me good eyesight (mono-vision) until 4 mos ago w
hen I started noticing double vision in my distance eye. It h
as quickly digressed to blurred vision and seems to be g
etting worse quickly.
An opthamologist noted an astigmatism and early signs of a c
atarac in the same eye. He gave me a prescription for g
lasses. However the vision in that eye does not seem c
orrectable with contacts or glasses for near or far sight.

I fear of returning to lasik re long term effects like I may be s
uffering from now.

Suggestions?
