I had EPI Lasik performed on both eyes on 1/14/05. My vision was -3.00 on both eyes, with a small astigmatism on my left eye. It has been 11 days since my surgery, and my vision is still blurry. My doctor says my vision should improve day by day. I personally have not experienced any significant improvements.
My vision as of 1/24/05 was 20/70 (based on reading every letter on a single line correctly). I'm a +0.25 on my left eye and +0.00 on my right, BUT now I have -1.75 astigmatism on each eye. Based on my doctors suggestion, my vision will get better as the days go on.
I'm assuming that my vision is blurry due to the astigmatism.
Does this sound right?
Is my astigmatism going to fade away?
If not, are my astigmatisms correctable? With contacts, glasses, or Lasik?
Should I get a second opinion?
My doctor wants to see me in 4 to 6 weeks, but this seems like an eternity. I need comfort in knowing my options.
Thanks.
PB

I am interested in finding out what your current vision condition is. I had EPI Lasik surgery on 3/11/05 and I am having the same exact symptoms, my vision is still blurry and my doctor is saying the same thing to give it 2-4 weeks.

I also had custom epi Lasik done a month ago but my eye is still blur. During 1 week post op it was slightly better but has deteriorated. I am told my astig is 1.00 and my healing is slow. My pre-op was -6.25D with astig of 2.00. I'm terrified. Would like to know if it's normal and please share your experience with me. Per the latest epiLasik report, Lasik surgeons say that vision will be fuzzy up to 3 months. Not sure if this is the type of fuzziness they are referring to.
