I was told recently by my doctor when I went to get contacts after years of glasses that I could never have lasik surgery to correct my vision even if it was the top doctor to perform the procedure it would not be effective is this true? My prescription is +3.25 & +2.75 I don't know what this means but from what I am told it is a high astigmatism

Laura,
+3.25 and +2.75 might indicate your spherical script numbers for each eye meaning you are far-sighted. Or these might be partial astigmatism numbers. Astigmatism measurements include both diopter notations plus angle notations. Provide your entire written prescription for both eyes for more meaningful answers here.
