Repost - Seems really hard to find information on post-LASIK LRI (limbal relaxation incision).
I am 6 months post-Custom/Intra-LASIK with astigmatism (+0.75 -0.50D) in one eye that cause unfocused and difficult reading (guess I end up overcorrected when including the astigmatism. He suggested that he perform a limbal relaxing incision (LRI) or AK on this eye as a solution to my relatively poor vision in this eye caused by the astigmatism.
Any suggestions on why I should or should not do this?
Is LASIK enhancement or LRI better at treating astigmatism?
Is LRI less dangerous than LASIK enhancement?
Is it effective?
Does it limit later enhancements?
Note: I had severe photophobia for a month after my IntraLASIK procedure. He thought that this may be a better alternative as relifting the flap could cause reoccurence. Also, sometimes they can introduce hyperobia.
Thanks,
David
