Hi,

I had Lasik done about 1 1/2 weeks ago. My prescription in both eyes was -6.5 with 1.75 astigmatism in the right eye. Since the surgery, my eyes have definitely gotten stronger from the first 2 days(less sensitive to light, less drops needed) but my vision is still blurry both near and far; meaning i can see the words on the computer screen, but it's blurry to some degree. The blurriness has definitely gotten better since last week, but I'm a bit worried at how slow the healing is. Is this normal, since I hear people having perfect vision 24-48 hours after surgery.

Thanks,

Eric

Refractive surgery like LASIK is more of a six-month process than a 20-Minute Miracle. The symptoms you describe are quite normal at your stage of healing.

Be sure to report all difficulties to your doctor no matter how minor they may seem to you, and follow your doctor’s advice regarding treatment.

not everyone wakes up the next day with perfect vision. Give it time for the healing to complete. Since your a high myope with severe myopia, you may still have a residual pescription. If you have presbyopia, youll need reading glasses even for the computer.
