lasik and laser surgury will reduce your dependancy on glasses. You have a very high pescription so regression and undercorrection is common. If you are happy with contacts(and glasses) you may want to leave things alone. if your tired of your thick glasses, lasik should get you much closer to plano. Research the risks throughtly.

The ans is Yes.

one can get corrected eyes with high myopia & high astigmatism, by the Natural eye vision correction method. this includes especial Eye exercise & Eye yog. Lasik only reduces the Dependency of Glasses/Contact lences in high myopia & high astigmatism. Lasik surgery has limits. While Natural eye vision correction, corrects all ranges of the eye vision defects. Especially it is the best treatment for those with high myopia/hyperopia/astigmatism, where the Lasik get fails. More I can say it´s Supernatural method.

I was at a -7.0 in both eyes with a fair amount of astigmatism. I had PRK and now I'm 20/15 in my right eye and about 20/30 in my left.

Folks like us with strong corrections have a higher risk of hazing. Be sure you discuss it with your doctor including the use of Vitamin-C and a drug called MMC.

You also need to know how thick your cornea is. Heavy corrections mean zapping out a lot of cornea. You need to know if you have enough cornea to work with.

I wouldn't go into this with your heart set on 20/20. It's a gamble. It will probably be a big improvement, but there is a strong possibility that it might fall short of perfect. Just be prepared for that.

If you get a good correction with contact lenses, you may not want to bother with the risk, time, and expense. It happened to work out for me, but I had some scary moments over the last 10 months since my original surgery where I really doubted my decision.

Take your time. Do a lot of research. Talk to several doctors. Listen to the most conservative one.

Good luck....

Steve
