I am 23 year old male from Pakistan. i have been wearing glasses since i was 17. my prescription at that time was Sph -0.5 in left n -0.75 in my right eye. I used to wear glasses regularly except for when attending a function. now at 23 years my latest prescription is
DV L SPH Nill CYL -5.00 Axis 30 deg
R Sph -1.50 CYL -6.00 Axis 160 deg
NV -----------------------------------

the doctors here say this severe Astigmatism cannot be corrected by Surgery. I want to ask whether there are any chances for me to get my vision corrected by surgery.

What's more annoying for me is to hear the doctors not recommnending me the lens either. They say that You won't be able to see well with Torric as compared to glasses. Are there any lens which i could use to atleast have some fun in life without glasses.Docotrs also say that lens would not be an option as my vision is not stable yet.

At the moment i am having great difficulty as i am having real blurred visions both at near and distant images. i could not even recognise faces of people at a distance greater than 15 feet as the faces get blurred.i also have some webbing dots floating at the points where i am focussing.Also have tears in my eyes especially when i remove glasses.

Kindly help me with this. I am really worried as i can't see clearly even with my latest presciption of glasses because the doctor say my vision cannot be perfect even following a prescrption as i have a 75% vision after wearing glasses. Kindly suggest me any specific lens which i could use instead of glasses. Also tell me any possibility for Surgery.

I am in the same boat as you. My script is:

left eye: -4.5 sphere, -.75 cylindar(140 axis) correctable to 20/30
right eye: -3.5 sphere, -1.5 cylindar(55 axis) correctable to 20/40

How well do you see with glasses? 20/40? Maybe you can give RGP contacts a try, they are famous for correcting very large amounts of astigmastim. If you cant tolerate RGP contacts and really hate glasses, you could consider wavefront PRK to reduce your astigmastim. You may be able to greatly reduce your dependancy on glasses then and be functional without them for many things.
