Just trying to see where I am in relation to where I should be. I know things will be blurry. I'm worried like anyone else. First off I had PRK surgery on both eyes last Saturday So I'm a week and 2 days in right now. I expected the blurriness and such. 2 Days ago I had amazing vision in my right eye. Now my right eye is blurry again and I see double vision even up close. Both eyes can read fairly well. Reading, Left is a little blurry and the right of course has that double vision. I have the Astigmatism in my right eye. Left eye has been just blurry all around.
Are things going well for me or should I be more worried at this point? :) Thanks, Jake

Jake, I had PRK surgery on December 15, 2006. I developed double vision in both eyes after a few weeks and it got worse before gradually starting to subside. I was also overcorrected and started wearing reading glasses indoors and out after about 2 1/2 months post surgery. After a four month exam with the surgeon, I decided to go back to my regular eye doctor. She fitted me with contacts; +1.75 left eye and +1.25 right eye. She thinks the astigmatisms were laser induced but will completely subside, eventually. I was over -8 in each eye before surgery so overall I am glad I had the surgery. I would rather not have to wear contacts again but I CAN function without them. Hang in there and if your experience is anything like mine, expect your vision to fluctuate over the next few months.

Hi Mike,
My well my "ghosting" seems to be improving or so I think.....(I'm close to 3 weeks post op now) My left eye has been pretty good for a week now and my right is still blurry except for reading. I also think I see some floaters in my right eye unless I'm imagining them (probably not). Still hoping for the best. It just feels like I got nothing done to my right eye and it's almost as bad as before surgery so I just look at it like wellll I got 1 working eye now! haha!
I don't want to have to go back to contacts but I'm sure things will get better :) I don't really have major issues as a lot of people are talking about (unless people are exagerating). My eyes are a little dry in the morning. I put a drop in and they are good to go and put non preservative drops in throughout the day jsut to make sure (heard that helps the healing process). I'll keep you posted as I progress :)
