My prescription is as follows

Left eye Sph +0.50 Cyl -3.00 Axis 15
Would I be suitable for LASIK?

As you are probably aware, there is more to being a good candidate for LASIK besides the prescription. However, as for your prescription, my experience tells me that you weould be best suited to have your treatment at this time on an Autonomous laser due to your "mixed" type of astigmatism. The VISX laser should get approval for that type of treatment very soon.
Hope this helps but a thorough evaluation will determine how good of a candiate you will be.

What does mixed astigmatism mean? How is it shown in the prescription? What are the visual effects of mixed astigmatism?
