I had lasik performed on 11/24/99 and my presription before the surgery was OD -4.75 +5.25 95,OS -4.25 +5.00 95. My prescription is now OD +.75 +1.00 60, OS +.50 +2.00 50. It has been over a year since my surgery was performed. My doctor keeps telling me to wait to get an enhancement done because there will soon be better technology to treat my condition. Is there new technology recently approved by the FDA? Am I a good candidate for enhancement?

The technology to correct your residual prescription is available at this time. Since your surgery was more than one year ago, it should be stable enough to go for an enhancement. Let me know if you have further questions.
