Pre-surgery, I was -4.50, -4.75, 7mm pupils with a slight astigmatism. The Visx Star S3 laser was used.
The day after surgery, I was 20/20 in the left eye and 20/40- in the right with what the Dr. called "induced astigmatism".
The right eye was able to correct with lenses.
I am now 6 days post op and the right eye is still not as clear as the left.
Will the induced astigmatism (1.5 I think??) clear up as my eye heals or will an enhancement be required?
How common is "induced astigmatism". I did not read about it as a potential post op side effect during my pre-op reseach.
Thank you...

Induced astigmatism is common especially early in the healing period. Many times, it will disappear or lessen as your eye heals so be patient since you are early in your postop. It is important though to make sure that with lenses, it is correctable to 20/20. If not, then your doctor should look for other causes.
Hope this helps.
