i had lasik in june of 2000. i c/o eye pain and "coldness" i was told for 5 years i have dry eye. I had plugs put in and used moisture drops, and then was prescribed Restasis. This helped a little. I moved and went to a new doctor and I am now told i have an irregular astigmatism, that i have had since at least 2003 if not immediatley post lasik. My lasik doctor never mentioned the astigmatism. I was fitted with glasses in 2005 and the pain and "coldness" have ceased. Is this negligence on the part of my lasik doctor. Now i have an acute astigmatism that has gotten worse over the years. It is expensive to make the lenses and contact needed. Can you educate me as to the rationale my lasik doctor may have had to not tell me about the astigmatism and not treat it with corective lenses in 2003?
