In November 2005 I had lask surgery to correct a severe astigmatism in both eyes (-6 in each eye).
The surgeon set my goals by realistically suggesting that I would require an enhancement procedure.

After the Lasik my left eye was -1 and right -1.25 astigmatism. Although my vision was greatly improved, I did notice double vision in my right eye. I was given a new prescription glasses whilst my eyes stabilized - this addressed the double vision as well. I assumed the double vision (in my right eye) was purely from the astigmatism (-1.25).

End of March 2006 I had an astigmatic keratotomy to correct the final bit of astigmatism I have left. Following this procedure, my astigmatism is now R -0.75 and L-0.5.

I am struggling with 2 things (4 weeks after AK):
1. I still have the double vision in my Left eye (according to the Dr thios has the lower level of astigmatism - makes no sense to me)
2. I struggle with mid to distance vision; my reading vision is great but from 3 foot onwards everything is blurry.

Could this and the double vision still be eyes adapting and healing or could there be other issues??

Your advice is GREATLY appreciated.
Richard

since you still have a residual pescription and the fact you cant see clearly past 3 feet indicates you may have -1 to -1.5 diopters myopia as well. Your -6 astigmastim was out of the range lasik can treat so a residual pescription was expected. Still your vision improved big time and your dependancy on glasses greatly reduced.
