I hope you can clear up some of my confusion. Visx is marketing it's S3 machine with the new software upgrade as having Wavefront technology (along with bonuses like eye tracking). Is this the same as the new Wavefront technology that is generating so much excitement??

One manufacturer's term "wavefront technology" is not the same as anothers. They all are doing it slightly differently yet calling it the same thing. I don't know the specifics yet of each company's instruments and how they are coupled to the laser but I wouldn't be in a big rush to go have it done yet. I would probably hold off awhile till we can sort out what exactly each instrument can do and what are the results with each.
