Hi,

I was told by my doctor that I would be a prime candidate for their Thin Flap Lasik study. Apparently it has been approved by the FDA 2 years ago and my doctor asked if I wanted to be a part of their study. It has been performed in-house, but I believe that they are part of a national study consisting of 4 sites. It was explained to me that eventually most, if not all, lasik doctors will be moving towards this type of surgery. I was also told that although my vision would not be 20/20 right away compared to conventional lasik, the healing time is much quicker. Can one of the doctors give me more information regarding this "new" procedure? What are the pros and cons?
