Yesterday I had Lasik performed in both eyes with CustomVue. Overall I am pleased with the results. I have noticed two things, however, that are not disabling, but are, well, noticable.
The first the surgeon told me at my post-op visit today is called ghosting. In my left eye I have very slight double vision, especially noticiable when reading with my right eye closed.
The second is that I've noticed it takes a longer time than it used to to focus on objects at different distances, and I have to almost concentrate to focus properly.
Both are relatively mild and not terribly noticable, but I wondered what the likelyhood was that this will spontaneouslt resolve and over what time period, or if this will require surgical intervention. My doc said today that my flap looks perfect.
Thanks for any insight you can provide.

I had wavefront done nearly 6 months ago. It took nearly three months for my eyes to settle properly. I used to stare at something for it to come into focus. It drove me mad, one minute it was clear, the next it wasn't - so I think it's early days for you.
I had a recent sight test and am left with -0.25 and +0.75, the left eye over corrected. Sometimes I get slight ghosting in my right eye, mainly in artificial light when I look at say teletext, or numberplates when driving. It happens more when i'm tired. My optician said it was slight astigmatism (as it goes away when I look through a small hole made in a piece of paper!)
So i think you need to give your eyes a lot more time, its all part of the settling down and healing.
I hope this makes you feel better as i know what you are going through.
( I was -7.25 and -6.75)_

I too have ghosting in my left eye with CustomVue Lasik. Its been three weeks, it got slightly worse during the first week. Now I've been told since it's been fairly stable for over three weeks, that it will probably stay this way. My best option is to wait for 3-6 months and get the same procedure performed on the left eye (not excited about having it again, but since glasses can't correct the double image...I might have to). Now I have to cover my left eye or wear a patch to read for any extended period of time.
Just make sure you tell your doc, he might give you some more anti-inflammation drops to put in your eye. I hope it goes away, good luck!

This sounds similar to my situation: I had lasik 5 days ago. The left eye seems perfect-no discomfort at all. The right eye took some stress from the suction ring and was very bloodshot after. It is still somewhat bloodshot and the bloodshot seems to be moving to around the iris area. The vision in this eye is flaky. Occasionally it seems okay, but most times it seems blurry to read writing on my t.v. that sits 8 feet away-but I see it clearly with just my left eye. The dr said it would take a while to see the full results. I wouldn't worry, except that my left eye seemed so immediately perfected. It's frustrating because everyone I ask says,"my eyes were fine within a day."
