After Lasik and severe bouts of dry eye, I finally had the lower punctums cauterized due to 8 punctal plugs falling out. Got along great for months and now my right eye has become inflamed...left eye is fine. I am a steroid responder and cannot use the typical protocol for clearing up inflammation. My doc says that all he can recommend is Restasis and nothing else due to steroid response. Is there NOTHING else for a steroid responder to use when severe inflammation hits? I did try some Nevanac but this did nothing to control inflammation. The eye is not infected, just inflamed, red and burning. Am I destined to have one red eye forever? I use the Restasis faithfully but it does not help with this inflammation. Has anyone else out there had experience as a steroid responder and know of anything else to try? Thanks, RKK
