I am at the 2 month mark and I notice that in the mornings my eyes are great. I can see outstanding. But, as the day goes on, I get blurry vision due to dryness and have to re-hydrate. I am worried because everyone I know who had this done has had no issues at all. Will I have to deal with dryness for my entire life?? I certainly hope not, I don't care if it take 6 months or 8 months or whatever, just as long as it does heal. I didn't have dry eyes going before LASIK, so this is very bothersome having to put drops in my eyes every half hour. OR, am I putting way too much stake on this at the 2 month mark.

Also, my eyes don't really seem to get irritated, they just get dry and the vision blurrs (but only really distance vision). My doctor put plugs in about a week and a half ago but that hasn't had a monumental impact. Is this just something that takes time? Should I just keep using the drops and relax about this?

I don't believe people have been avoiding your question. I have not been able to get to this sight for almost two weeks. It's possible this board was down for that time so people havn't read your question yet. I don't have an answer to your question, but I'm sure someone will soon.

Best of Luck,
Kelly

Some people wait and see if the doctor responds before putting in their input.

My doctor told me that at around the 3 month mark, tear production goes back to normal for most. In my case, it did get better at that time but was still a little to dry for my comfort. I started Restatsis and it's been better. I work in front of a terminal all day and I think that hasn't been optimal for me.

Hi Richard,

Yes Kelly is right this site was down for 2 weeks almost. I have the same situation I am past 2 months and still have blurry vision. When I put my drops it looks better for only couple of seconds and its blurry again. I don't know what should I add. I will go for my monthly check up soon and will update you. But as much as you can moist your eyes with some good drops.

Lasik induced temporary dry eyes is very common. It usually resolves within the normal six-month healing period, however the dry eyes should be managed. Well lubricated eyes will promote healing, whereas dry eyes can cause continued damage.

Thanks to everyone. I am just extremely frustrated about this whole thing. I know I just need to exercise some patience, but as most of you know, it is extremely difficult.
