I had lasik 3 months age and still complain of moderate dry eye symptoms and redness. I read is hould expect resolution by 6 months and some say never but if people could post info on when they noticed improvement not neccessarily resolution. surely those suffering for 2 years notice some improvement at months. I guess those that feel better dont look at the message board anymore.

Hi Nick
Yes, you are right. There are probably tons of people that had their dry eye improve after 3-months they just aren't out here to post about it anymore. I'm at 10-months and still struggling with dry eye. However, I've come across many people who have seen improvements in their dry eye even after the first year. So, try to hang in there. You are still very early in healing. Good luck,
Michelle

I am 2 months post lasik and also have experienced dry eyes but they are improving. Part of it is my fault for not always remembering to get drops in - I tend to wait until they are very dry - but things are getting better. At night I use the Thera Tears liquid gel drops. They are thick, do cause initial bluriness, but do help. Almost everyone I talked to says to be patient and give it 6 months so I guess we need to hang in there.
Good luck!

I'm 6 months out and my eyes feel virtually normal now. I had very servere dry eyes my first 3 months and then I started taking Restasis. I plan to discontinue that when my Rx runs out.

Ranjini - have you asked your doctor for a sample of Alphagan P eye drops for night glare? I also have glare at night, which I am somewhat used to as I would get it with my contact lenses. I am able to drive but I still wanted to see if Alpahgan would help. I tried it and it did reduce the starbursts/glare at night. It stings a little when you first put it in but didn't impact my vision in any way.
Hope this helps - good luck!

Nick,
Just because I am feeling better doesn't mean I left, I had some health and personal issues that have kept me busy, anyway I reposted an update on how I am doing 8 mos later and hang in there. Healing is frustrating and sometimes a long process, I still have a dry eye spell that makes me want to poke out my eyes. Patitence and as much contact with your doctor is key to healing. If you ARE NOT comfortable with your eyes, then make sure you do everything you need to until you are satisfied. Anyways, read my new update and I'll check in to see how you are doing.
Bridget
