i got cutom lasik 2 weeks ago and my eye sight has been slightly
blurry every since. my doc says i am 20/30 in both eyes but it feels
worse. it is really frustrating, i thought my sight would be as good
as it was with contacts, but it definally is NOT! i am on restasis,
take flax seed oil, and use tons of systane free. my eyes usually
sting a bit from the dryness, and are really dry and gritty when i
wake up in the middle of the night. will my sight get better? is it
blurry due to my dry eyes or was i under-corrected? i am so
frustrated and my doctor keeps on saying "it takes time" but
everything i've seen says your sight should be at its best a week
after lasik! help!

Lasik is often more of a six month process than a 20-Minute Miracle. Your reported symptoms are consistent with Lasik induced temporary dry eye, which is very common. We have a detailed article about Lasik and Dry Eye Treatment at http://www.complicatedeyes.org/dry_eye_treatment.htm
Your doctor is correct that it does take time. It is very possible that your vision clarity will return once the dry eyes and healing are resolved.
Keep us informed of your progress.
