Hi, I am now 4 months post-op (Intralasik). My dry eyes have been pretty uncomfortable to very uncomforable at times. I have tried just about every tear on the market with limited success. The most successful being Dr. Holly's Dakrina or Dwelle. When I go in for follow up with the Dr. at my lasik clinic he says they look a little dry on the conjunctiva and to just keep using my drops. He even gave me some steroid drops (to use when I feel I need them). They may help some, but I have been a little afraid to use them because they haven't checked my intraocular pressure since before the surgery and I had read that you should be monitored while using those drops. So, after my last appointment even though I told him I use the drops every two hours and am still quite uncomfortable he said I looked great and dismissed me saying I do not need anymore post op care unless "something comes up". Needless to say I am quite frustrated with them. To get to my question, at what point should I try to find an opthomologist and see if I may need Restasis or something? I don't feel I can get anywhere with the lasik doctors office so I would just try to get someone covered by insurance.
