I had the lasek procedure performed on both eyes approximately 6 months ago. I had custom lasek on the left eye using VISX CustomVue wavefront technology and the normal lasek procedure on the right eye. Post lasek I developed complications with haze in both eyes. At 6 months my doctor does not see any haze in either eye. Both eyes have stabilized. My vision in my right eye is good (not great) during the day with some myopia and about .75 units of astigmatism. At night there is some smearing of the image to the right and again straight down particuarly with lights such as a stoplight. My left eye at 6 months has a little over a unit of astigmatism and a lot of myopia, the image is a very poor image at day and at night. There is considerable amount of ghosting/double vision at all depths with all objects in the left eye.
I am having enhancement done on my left eye using the Visx CustomVue again in 30 days. In addition mytomycin C will be used post laser treatment. My question is what type of results have people had using the Visx CustomVue for enhancements, and is it recommended to use wavefront for enhancements? My Doctor has not performed this type of enhancment on a patient before, this concerns me a bit as I do not wish to be a guienea pig. Thanks for the help in advance.
