I had lasik procedure 8 years ago in Canada and I now have to wear contact lense, -2.50 (L), -2.25 (R). I called several places and they told me that they don't do enhancements as it is dangerous. They told me that my flap might tear or might get cut too deep. I have been wearing contact lense for past 5 years.
Would someone please reply with their experiences with enhancement and a good Dr. to go to in Los Angeles Area, preferably (818) area code.
Thank you.

Hi my current record for lifting a flap is 7 years but 8 is still possible. It is always better to try to lift the flap but it is not always possible. I have never torn one trying to lift it as we always start at the edges and it beomes apparent whether or not it will be possible. If not, you can still have a surface PRK which can work quite well. Most likely you do not have a very high correction and you can probably consider just doing your dominant eye. I have an office in Encino, Freedom Vision TLC center but I am only there in Friday AM. call 818 783-2346 if you would like me to evaluate you.

I never heard of prk being performed after one has had lasik. I was thinking of intacs but I dont know if this is possible after lasik, I know you can get it before lasik but they must be removed if you decide on anything else. You could try natural eye exercises to further reduce your already low remaining myopia. One more thing, you wont need reading glasses for a long while if you remain myopic
