I had lasik done on both eyes on March 4, 2005. At my post-op visit the day after surgery the flap in my right eye was wrinkled. My surgeon smoothed it out and put a contact on it to hold it in place. The left eye was great, good vision one day post op.
Three days later I went back to my surgeon and he took the contact off for me and thought I had a slight infection on top of the flap. He treated me with two different antibiotics for two days wen I went back again. The vision in the righ eye that had the flap complications was very distorted. On the third visit back (one week post op) he said that the right eye had been undercorrected and wanted to correct it that day. I was concerned but he said the flap looked fine and he suggested correcting it again due to the severity of the undercorrection.
I went back four days later and still had astigmatism in that right eye. He said to wait four weeks and come back to have it rechecked and he would correct it again if need be.
I am now five weeks post-op with my right eye and have an appointment scheduled for an enhancement next week. The vision in the right eye has improved slightly but is still not right. I have trouble seeing in low light situations and at night.
I am concerned about the trauma that has already taken place with my right eye and having another enhancement done. What do you suggest?
Thanks
Marsha

request a topography. also how much cornea do u have left in that eye? also request to be tested for how much myopia remains. How well do you see in that eye? 20/100?

I'm not sure how much cornea I have left, I have an appointment next week and will find out. Is there a certain number I should be asking him about this? I havn't been back for four weeks but my vision has gotten a little better in that eye. There are certain things I can see with both my left and right eye but the right eye is very "fuzzy". What exactly is a topography?
>request a topography. also how much cornea
>do u have left in that
>eye? also request to be tested

How thick was it before lasik? From my research 250 is the absolute minimum but most people feel that 300 is much safer. I for one would not let my cornea go below 300 unless I needed an emergency enhancement to fix blurred vision that cant be corrected by glasses. Do glasses help you? If it does, you just have remaining myopia
