I had Lasik in December and developed a mild erosion afterward in my right eye. I don't know if the erosion is associated with my complication, but I still have residual blurriness and haze in my right eye that is reducing my vision to -1 or -1.5. Everything seems more dim than it should. It's great when I am outside in bright sunlight, not great everywhere else. When I get my eyes tested, vision improves with the help of the lens on the machine, but it's still blurry/hazy, like there's a film of some sort over my eye. The doctor has compared it to looking through a dirty window. The doctor has suggested that I go back for PRK enhancement, because that is designed to treat the surface of the cornea, where my problem apparently is. After what I've read online and in the materials they gave me, I am very concerned that this could make my vision permanently worse, esp. if the healing process goes awry. It sounds like complications with healing are much more likely after PRK and that the healing is very slow. I guess I'm looking for a second opinion. Is this a common response? How worried should I be? Chances of success vs. things deteriorating?
Thanks for any help you can give.
