Hi, I had lasek six months ago. My prescription for myopia was low, approx -2 in both eyes with -2 astigmatism in the left and -1.75 in the right.
I have my six month check up soon and i know I will need an enhancement in my left eye as the astigmatism is still -2? I do not know if this is due to the surgeon under/not correcting the astigmatism or if it is regression. I knew the next day after lasek that my left eye was not seeing well and this was confirmed at my six week check up.At that time i was informed i would need an enhancement at the six-month mark for "regular astigmatism". So, what I want to know is , is this normal? Why do i have one really good eye and one which sees practically the same as pre-lasek? I cannot read up close or apply eye make-up properly with the left eye as it is blurry, when I had no problem before with reading or putting on make-up.
Should the next consultation for enhancement include full assessment and topography including dilation of eyes, pupil measurement etc.
I am really worried, my surgeon is only contactable through his secretary whom is most unhelpful and abrupt,
I would really appreciate a prompt reply!
