Several years ago I had LASIK surgery performed over an existing, several year old, RK surgery. For about a year after LASIK my vision was in the 20/30 range, which was acceptable. It seems to slowly be changing for the worse and fluctuating quite a bit. I wear RGP lenses and have so for years. Last checkup showed vision in the 20/60 range. Is there any type of enhancement that may help my vision from this point? My job requires good uncorrected vision. I am currently 33 years old. Doctors say that both surgeries didnt take due to my young, healthy eyes.

The fluctuation in visual acuity you describe may indicate that your cornea is weakened by the previous surgeries – primarily the RK – and that additional surgery may not be wise. Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP) contact lenses are often the most appropriate choice in a situation like this.
