I did LASIK two years ago on Nov. 2004. Both eyes were about -5.00 before LASIK. I could see 20/30 after LASIK. After one year, my left eye regressed to -1.00, my right eye was -0.5. Right now, both eyes get worse. Left eye is -1.25 and right eye is -1.00. Should I go for an enhancement? I still can do things and see computer screen with no problem, but I cant drive at night without glasses, and I cant see road signs well. I can see better if my eyes are wet when I have tears or use eye drops. Are my eyes too dry? Are the dry eyes affecting my vision? I just passed the driver license test because my eyes became wet after I blinked my eyes several times. But actually I dont always see that clearly. My doctor said it is up to me to make the decision to do an enhancement. I want to have a second opinion here. I also want to know how usually the doctors recommend an enhancement. I very worry about the complication after the surgery. But I also worry if my vision will be worse year after year. Does any one know what usually causes the regression? Could my vision be worse after the enhancement?

If your vision hasnt stabalized, an enhancement isnt a good idea at this point because your eyes are still changing. You mentioned your seeing very well from reading distance and the computer screen. If you get enhanced, consider doing only your dormant eye so you dont trade up driving glasses for reading glasses. If monovision isnt for you, then it might be wise to leave things alone and enjoy the fact you only need glasses for driving. There are risks with an enhancement, including overcorrection.
