I did LASIK 1 month ago on 20 Jan 06. Both eyes were about -4.50 before LASIK. Now, my left eye regressed to -0.75, my right eye was so far so good. Should I go for an enhancement? My doctor suggested me to make the decision to do an enhancement. How long time is suitable to do enhancement after LASIK?

What you have is mild monovision. Maybe you didnt intend it to be like that but use it to your advantage to keep you out of reading glasses. My opinion is I strongly suggest you dont take the risk. Too close to perfect and could overcorrect as one surgeon told another guy who was also -.75 and seeing 20/25 instead of 20/20. You probably see as good or better without glasses as I do with.

hi steve my doctor says its o.k to do it between the three to six months after the original surgery one month is too soon since your eyes are still healing. i had mine done four months ago and need enchancment on one eye but my doctor suggested to wait a little she took some tests last week and told me will check again in a month and compare to make sure vision is stable before doing the enhcancment.

I am not gonna stop you from an enhancement. Its up to you if you dont mind trading up reading glasses once presbyopia hits. Also you run the risk of overcorrection. I would be happy to be undercorrected because I know what its like not to see clearly from near and im only 23. I take my glasses off to read or its all blurry! Lasik wouldnt keep me out of glasses, id just need reading glasses unless I go for monovision
