i have a bit of haziness in my right eye. it is not as crisp as my left. i went to the doctor and he said everything looks ok but sees some dry patches. my question is how do you know if you have a flap complication besides hearing it from a doctor? haziness seems to be a result of flap complications and dry eyes. what if i was mis-diagnosed? he does not want me to come back for a couple months so i can let it heal. if i go back and they find a flap complication in two months will it be too late? just nervous...

Your question speaks to your confidence in your doctor. Any competent lasik surgeon would be able to easily recognize a flap compliation and act on it. Not all minor flap problems need treated. Certianly his/her explanation of dry patches are consistent and a common cause of slight blurring. Your less clear eye may also not be fully healed. If you are concerened about a specific issue such as a flap complication, you should ask your doctor directly about your concern.
