I went to have Lasik done 3/20/02(-3.75 right and -4.0 left). Everything went okay with the right eye 20/25 the next day. But when the flap was cut on the left eye, it cut uneven due to the blade according to the doctor. He opted to close the flap without making any correction. And he suggested that I wait 4 months to come back and he would recut it and make the correction then. Then the doctor who seen me the next day said PRK could be done in one month. Also, he said we could put a contact in for the correction for now. I opted to wait at least one week to let the eye heal some first.
My questions are: Is it common for this to happen? How long would you suggest to wait before you would do Lasik on that eye again? What is your take on using PRK verses waiting longer to use Lasik? And would you suggest a contact be used for correction while waiting for the eye to heal?
Thank you in advance for your input.
