Hello,
I had Epi-Lasik done 5 months ago and noticing different types of glare.
There's the pupil related kind of glare like starbursts, ghosting, that occurs in dim light environments, such as in dark scenes when watching movies, tv, car tail lights, light from light posts, and goes away when I turn on a light or when more light enters my eyes which I believe is being caused by residual astigmatism or my pupils are actually larger than what they measured. Had -1.25 astigmatism in both prior to surgery and was treated with a 6.7 x 6 blended out to a 8mm ablaztion zone. Pupil size is 7mm in 1 eye and 7.5mm in the other. My last follow up isn't until March. Grrr! I amazed by the ineffecient testing my doctor has done. Just the pin hole and chart test.
Then there's the glare that's always there such as during the day or at night even after shining a light in my eyes, like the glowing light coming through the bottom part of the blinds, or light glare reflecting off my bed, or my hand when I put it out by the glove box while driving in my car, or light reflecting off my doctors white shirt while in his somewhat dim lit room, or glare around the flourecent lights at work. Again these do not go away when my pupil constricts. What causes this type? Is it microscopic trace corneal haze, dry eyes related, inflammation related and will it eventually go away? My doctor says there was no haze last time I was there. Help.
