I know this is a general question, but I am intrigued to find a benchmark against which I can measure my progress. I am 11 days post op - My near vision is fine, but my distance vision is a little disappointing - I have a liitle haloeing and some dryness. Can you let me know when I should expect this to be gone. Thanks a lot.

I have found that my near vision is actually better than before. I an very satisfied with that. My corneas are a bit dry at the moment - This is normal, but causes some blurriness at distance. This will clear up over time. Why do you want Lasik? Are contacts no good? It can have varying degrees of success. You must get the best surgeon there is. If you compromise you will end upi with an inferior result. Find the best surgeon you can and he will explain in detail. Let me know how you get on. Regards.

Roger, how is your vision now? I have just done Lasik 3 days ago. I saw starburst at night and glare on both eyes at night. During daytime, I notice glare on my right eye. Does the haloes/glare improve significantly after 1 month? How long do these things improve / go away in your case?

Have continued to have problems with night vision, particularly slight blurriness (milky like)with slight starbursts and halos at night. I am 42 and had monovision with VISX Star 3 and used -3.5 soft contacts before surgery. Bright light vision is great (20/40 left non dominant eye, 20/20 to 20/15 right eye). Seems to be SLOWLY getting better, supposedly my pupils were well within the size for correction. Will the night vision improve more, or what are my options to improve this condition- I work night shift and have to drive at night and work under dim flourescent lights. Any help is greatly appreciated.
