I have had herpes simplex affect skin around
my eyes, but not actually on my cornea or eye.
Would I still be able to get lasik?
Any opinions would be great.
Thanks!

If there has been no direct involvement of the eye,I would not be concerned. It is a different matter if there was a previous infection with the herpes simplex virus of the cornea. This would be a more serious matter and may prevent you from having LASIK or PRK.
