My wife just had a Lasik done in last week(7/25/06). the very next day she developed conjunctivitis, as she is having sticky discharged ,Doctor said it might be bacterial conjuctivitis. Her right eye is worse than left.
she has almost 90% vision in left.She started taking oral antibiotic and two different drops every half an hour. After 4 days of intense eye drops and oral medication her right eye still is not clear. Doctor said she has 30-35% infection ,
they did bacterial culture test on next day still waiting for result. In this situation, today on 4th day ,doctor gave her low doses of steroid drops 3 times a day.she was having moderate irritation.
When I asked does the swab culture changes the treatment plan. He said may be/ may be not.
she is going to the clinic everyday. Now my question is " do you think the low dose steroid will do the 100% job as full dose"
How she got bacterial conjuctivitis , is it from another patient! or for instruments!! Is the current treatment plan is going OK!!!
