I just had my pre-operative evaluation and my dr. says my prescription is R -2.75 and L -3.25, have very low astigmatism (below -1.0). My dr. seems to think either Intacs or LASIK would give me the outcome I'm looking for. I chose INTACs because I really like the fact that is it reversible (in most cases). I'm actually scheduled to get INTACS next week but the more i read the more I am concerned that -3.25 is too high? Would I be better off w/ LASIK? Also my pupils are a 5 & a 6.

At -3.25, LASIK may be the better procedure, but that's no guarantee.
On the other hand, if you get Intacs first, and it's not good enough, you still have LASIK to fall back on. Assuming that no serious complications occur, the only thing you'd lose be getting Intacs first would be some time and probably some cash.

I had my intacs implanted on 6/27-- boy was that the most painful thing ever--- that night my eyes hurt & swelled shut-- the next day at my appointent my vision was L 20/200 & R 20/50-- i went again today (6/30) and my L was 20/25 but my R was still 20/50 the swelling has subsided a lot but my eyes are still a bit swollen-- i definitely don't feel comfortable driving, etc. & reading up close is actually somewhat difficult.. should i be concerned that my right eye isn't coming along or can my eyes just be healing at a different rate?

i got my intacs on 6/27-- (it was really painful)--i had a lot of swelling & pain that night (my eyes actually swelled shut) the next day my vision was R 20/50 & L 20/200 today (6/30) my vision is R 20/50 & L 20/25- my swelling isn't totally gone & i haave some trouble reading up close--things are still blurry also.. should i be concerned w/my R eye or is it simply healing slower than my left (orginally my eyes were R -2.75 and L -3.25)
