Has anyone heard of the B&L Keracor excimer 117C or 217? Is this the same as the Technolas 217? The clinic I am going to uses these - are they good for people with stronger myopia and large pupils?

They are one and the same. All the lasers available can treat high degrees of myopia easily. The Technolas 217 can also treat larger pupils (as can other brands of excimer lasers).

Good luck

Actually,
the 117C is an upgraded version of the 116. It is slighly less goog compared to the 217, as the tracker does not work as well. Otherwise, they are similar. Both have a 2 mm scanning spot, an eye tracker (international version) and treat at 50 HZ repetition rate.
