I was hopeing someone could tell me if the flying spot precision active eye tracker on the LaserScan LSX has been FDA approved. The doctor I am considering advertises it as a flying spot laser and if this feature isn't FDA approved I would consider that deceptive advertising. Thanks to anyone taking their time to answer my question.

To answer your question, the LSX laser IS a flying spot laser, however their eye tracking mechanism isn't FDA approved yet to my knowledge. Last I knew, Lasersight had at least two software packages for their laser, a US version, and an international version, the latter of which includes the tracking system. The LSX is approved in the U.S. for certain prescriptions, but the tracker is not available yet.
