I am in the beginning stages of researching LASIK procedures and want to know the difference between the equipment: B&L Technolas 217A vs. VISX Wave S-4. The doctor I am looking at in CT says they have the most recent FDA approved technology which is the "best" around. I know I should not be "bargain shopping" for my eyes, but a doctor in Canada was highly recommended who uses the VISX Wave S-4. I have family in Canada, so it would not be much of an inconvience to save over $4,000 for my LASIK procedure. Both my eyes are approx -3; does it make a difference which machine would be used?
