Hi,
I have -7.5 myopia on both eyes and 6.5 mm pupil and 5.27 cornea thickness. My doctor suggested me to use Nidex EC5000 + wavefront (which cost USD 600 more).
But when I read all the information about wavefront. It seems this technology usually combined with visx s4. Is the "wavefront" technology worth more money to use with nidex EC5000 machine?
Which machine will be better for my situation?
Thanks.
Kai

the visx 4 is sure popular with wavefront, thats the laser of choice at the center I visited for an evaluation. They said my 550 cornea was only enough for "3 times" and im only -5. 7.5 diopters is alot for wavefront and may take over 100 cornea with your pupil size. There might not be enough for an enhancement. You could discuss epi-lasik, this will save lots of cornea and avoid having a flap too.
