Do any of the doctors out there feel cataracts can be caused from lasik surgery? I had surgery March 2000 and enhancement Oct 2000 and was diagnosed with a cataract Oct 2001. My lasik surgeron told me he did not know what was wrong with me since I had had so many problems with dry eyes, infection, star bursts, halos, and double vision he did not even entertain a cataract. I had to go out west to be diagnosed. I still have not seen him since my diagnosis, my appt. was canceled in Dec/01.
I wonder how long to wait before having the cataract removed?
