Dear Dr.Trattler,
I was checked by two docs if I would be a lasik candidate or not.
The first messured a corneathickness of 530 um , the second one messured only about 510 um . How can this be, if both docs used the same kind of messuring-machine?
I found out, that I have nearsightness because my radius of the cornea is very small. So my eyes are not too long.
The second doc messured the following:
R -8,5 -2,75
L -11,75 -2,75
Both docs said, that that they would use a laser diometer of only 5 mm. (my pupil size is 3,4 mm)
You wrote, that there will be lasered 12 um per diopter with a 6 mm Laser. So how much will be lasered per diopter with an Laserdiameter of only 5 mm ( 8 um or 10 um or ???? )
To correct the right eye completely, would't be a corneathickness of 510 um be enough ?
How much must be lasered to correct the right eye competely ?
What results could you achieve with a laser diameter of 5um and a corneathickness of 510 or 530 um ?
Sorry about such a lot of questions !!!
Julia
