I had my surgery on 11/9/00. Prior to the surgery I was -9.25 in both eyes. The doctor told me that he had to leave my right eye undercorrected (-.75) due to corneal thickness (not thick enough). The day after the surgery my left eye was great 20/20 and the right eye was 20/40. I was thrilled, but since then they have both regressed. Right to 20/50 and the left to 20/30. Is there a chance that they will come back to what they were at the 24 hour mark? And if I do need a prescription, how long should I wait?

Hiya. I also had high myopia -8.5 in the left and -7.5 in the right. There was some regression and then spontaneous recovery. It lasted (the up and down variations) for several months (my sugery was in June of this year). My last two visits have shown stability, but not perfect vision. I don't know the perscription now, but I know that it is NOT 20/20 but I am legally able to drive without glasses...All in all a huge sucess (although I am still not happy with my night vision). I also was concerned about regression and wrote many letters in September...but I guess the bottom line is that improvement is possible but no one can predict your specific outcome...Good Luck!
