I can't tell how happy I am that I did this surgery. I can see the clock from my bed for the first time in my life. I was a -15 before, now I can see about 20/60 in that eye. I need some laser to fix the astigmatism, then it will be 20/20 forever. My eye healed really fast, the recovery was easy. The only negative was the eye was really red (bloody-red) for about 2 weeks, so you have to plan for that. I will definitely be getting Verisyse on the other eye, maybe in March. I highly recommend this surgery!! I have a new lease on life!

Hi,

I'm also looking into having Verisyse implanted.
My situation sounds very similar to yours. I'm
-16 and -18 with 1.75 and 2.25 astigmatism.
I'm also 41 years old and in good health.

Can you tell me how your night vision is? Is it
as good or better than with contact lenses?

What doctor did you use? I'm located in
Sunnyvale, CA (near San Francisco). My
optometrist recommended Dr. Mark Mandel.

Thanks for the information.
