I have read where it is common to over correct during the original LASIK procedure to offset against expected regression because it is apparently very common. Are there any statistics concerning how much over correction is necessary for the average population. I am -9.00 in both eyes. Would it be "normal" to be treated in the -10 to a -11 range so when my vision settles down, I should be close to 0? Is there a research paper on the web anywhere that would explain this concept in greater detail?
Thanks,
Bob
