my wife have lasik done for about 2 months and then unexpected pregnancy, now she is having vision changed / not stable, As the doctor told us. But the concern now is will her vision go bad after the baby is born or it will be stable, she has a very high prescription before, and we just don't want to see her go back to that high presription again. (-11, -10)

There is no way of telling what will happen????

Please advice. and Thank you!

First of all, congratulations on the expected arrival.

During the pregnancy and until about two months after your wife stops nursing her eyes will be subject to fluctuations due to hormones run amok. This temporary situation will not likely cause any change in her final LASIK outcome, however you need to refrain from further treatment until after her hormones stabilize.

The main concern is if she develops an eye related malady that requires medication that could affect the pregnancy. This is not at all likely, considering that she is already two months postop. Keep your doctors informed of any vision changes and expect all to resolve on its own. A few months after she stops nursing, evaluate the final LASIK result and respond then.

It is almost impossible for her to regress back 11 diopters of refractive error. Some regression is normal, but it would likely be very small.

as the poster above me said, you will NOT regress back to a -10. You might regress a bit and when your vision stabalizes, if you still have enough cornea, you can enhance one(monovision) or both eyes or you can leave things be. congras on the pregency :)
