In considering the cost of using both the custom wavefront lasik and the intralase laser to cut the flap. Which is more important in terms of improving vision. I've got -4.00 in the left and -4.25 in my right. I was told that I was a good candidate with good cornea thickness and that neither one was exceptionally necessary. But if I was going to spend extra for one which should I choose? Thanks

There is no "either or" to your question. The Intralase femtosecond laser is a method to create the flap of corneal tissue that is the first step to LASIK. See http://www.usaeyes.org/faq/subjects/intralase_intralasik.htm

Wavefront is a method of creating a detailed map of the cornea's required changes to optomize the excimer laser's ablation of tissue to provide a change in refractive error. See http://www.usaeyes.org/faq/subjects/wavefront_custom_lasik.htm

You can have both Intralase and wavefront-guided ablation.
